Downtown's HOT SPOT for a COOL Drink!!
Montana's preffered source for fresh roasted, handcrafted coffees
WHAT'S GREAT ABOUT GREAT FALLS??
Disclaimer: This is not an exhaustive list, nor is it intended to be. These are just some things that I thought of the
other day. I will edit and add to this as time permits.
:-) Santa lives here in the off season, and he drinks coffee at Cool Beans. Santa is part of Santa America, a
non-profit organization that brings cheer to children in hospice care, with chronic pediatric illness or suffering from
post traumatic stress. Visit their website at
santa-america.org.

:-) The Great Falls Farmers Market.  We love the Market. We have had a concession trailer there since 2002. We
love the people that we meet there. We love being outdoors in the cool part of a summer Saturday morning. We like
having fry bread and a Latte for breakfast. For more information visit our
Farmer's Market Page.

:-)  Downtown Parking. (This will require a paradigm shift for Great Falls residents) At any given moment on any
given day there are more than 200 available parking spaces in the heart of downtown Great Falls. Downtown
business districts in other Montana cities are limited by parking. We are not. We are able to grow into our parking
rather than having to spend millions in a scramble to catch up like Bozeman and Missoula will have to do in the near
future. On our last trip to Coffee Fest in downtown Seattle we noticed that they you could pay for your parking with a
credit card, $26.00 per day. Do we REALLY have parking problems?

:-)  The Kids. If you had been here for either of the first two meetings of the Great Falls Writer's Forum this would
not require any explanation. We have a sizeable contingent of youth in this town who are aware of, and passionate
about, current events.  We have a sizeable contingent of youth in this town who are extremely talented composers
and writers. These young people are  willing to share their works with others.   Youth are the future of a community
and Great Falls is destined to be in capable hands.

:-) The Rivers Edge Trail. What an asset!! No other community in Montana, maybe in any state, has protected so
much of it's riverfront from development, and in such a beautiful and creative way. Miles of parks and facilities all
connected by a trail that begs to be walked, biked, roller bladed, jogged, etc. From the trail you can see the most
challenging skate park in the northwest, visit the Giant Springs State Park, check out the Lewis and Clark
Interpretive Center, pass with 100 yards of the Great Falls Farmers Market and watch Black Eagle Falls change with
the seasons. And those are just a few of the treasures along the trail. Great Falls continues to support the trail, it
continues to grow and it's future is bright.

:-)  Art.  The annual Western Art Walk, including the CM Russell Art Auction, the Jay Contway Show and many
others is quietly becoming the premier showcase for western art. Our local First Friday Art Walk continues to grow
and develop with more artists and galleries joining all the time. Who would suspect  that there could be this much
artistic energy in a sleepy little high plains town like Great Falls?

:-) Support of Youth Activities. We just recently began work on a large new soccer complex, recognizing and
validating the hard work of soccer organizers, supporters and, most importantly, players. We just recently finished a
world class skate park. All new enterprises experience growing pains and these two will be no exception, but,
together the represent the desire of this community to provide positive outlets for our youth. The Community Youth
Orchestra is strong and continues to grow.
